So cost them $632 million. Immediate sell non core assets for $600-$800 million. Hmmm now they have full control of the company without spending a dime. Then clean house and kick out management, put in their own team, re-negotiaite with bondholders, and take advantage of the huge tax write downs moving forward. Seems like a no brainer to me!
In fact, it will cost less, if you consider that they own 19% of the outstanding shares already! So roughly about 512M for $2 a share.
Further, if O’Hara and Alfa team up, it will cost them even less about 386M for $2 a share. So, for each to own 50% of the company, they will need 193M. But, someone needs to get those bondholders on board and to my knowledge managements have owned and traded the bonds!
BTW, how are those bonds traded those days? Does anyone own them?
Thanks
