Question for ya folks? announces today that the early test results of its PUREVAP(TM) Quartz Vaporization Reactor ("PUREVAP(TM)") demonstrated that it can transform high purity quartz into silicon metal. As previously noted, PUREVAP(TM) is a proprietary process that uses a plasma arc within a vacuum furnace to produce high purity, metallurgical grade silicon (MG-Si), solar grade silicon (UMG Si) and polysilicon from quartz in just one step. I'm I wrong in thinking that it's a great benifit to ubr to be able to produce silicon metal in just one step? even if the 6n or higher has not been proven or at least told to us. can't we use the purevap to make silicon metal than sell it??
