RE:Is 18 pounds of cobalt for Model 3 correct?

RE:Is 18 pounds of cobalt for Model 3 correct? The amount of Lithium, Graphite and Cobalt vary in each battery assemblies for each electric vehicle based upon the "strength" of the batteries or distance which they can cover between charges. I looked into the Tesla model three specifically and came up with about 15# Cobalt / 30# Lithium / 120# Graphite. Using today pricing for these materials and the quantities listed, the cost is a little less than $1000 for materials.

Why has Graphite and Lithium tripled and Cobalt sits at the lows is interesting to me. I do know that Cobalt is the only one "traded" on the London metals exchange, and those contracts can be used to anyones advantage if your pocket book is big enough, or some other reason.
