As an "investor" you should always know and be comfortable with the other side of the story - whether its Concordia or Valeant. The anti to the short theiry should bever be to "rip him another cavity" At the end of the day, if you didn't have the words "short squeeze" you wouldn't be long anything.

I just can not understand why BNN would even give this guy any air time. Shorters can say what they want to benfit themselves and never are held legally liable for their lies. The system needs to change.
I feel they should have to prove without a doubt their point before they are even given any air time. As well be liable for damages to stocks by shareholders for any lies. Time to start lobbing the government for changes.
Agreed, some of those comments are slanderous. Wouldn't be surprised if CXR takes direct actions against Cohodes for some of these blatantly false allegations. Cohodes without doubt slipped up with his choice of words in a public forum. Put him on the stand and watch the lawyers rip him another cavity.
This in not about shorting. Cohodes was not presenting and supporting his thesis for shorting in any rational way. He crossed the line and went on a personal attack against MT and CXR, by spewing unsubstantiated and slanderous comments.
He stated they were gouging the British citizens,( yet the market there is regulated).
He called MT's management work at Biovail "complete and utter fraud" even though MT was not in charge of Biovail.
Intentionally or not, when discussing MT and CXR , he even tried to tie in having his and his disabled son's life threatened, subtly insinuating some sort of connection.
How BNN would allow a guy like this to go on national TV is beyond comprehension. BNN certainly didn't bring anyone on to present a balanced view. It's all about sensationalism. And now for ratings they continue replaying his interview.
Just so we're clear, that's what I'm not comfortable with, and that is why a guy like that need so have a lawyer rip him another cavity.
