The Constellation actually sold for $86,277 per ct

The Constellation actually sold for $86,277 per ctSince they only sold 90% interest in the stone, the sale value is actually $86,277 ct. and if you allowed for a 30% increase for size increment and the fact that it is the largest, Lesedi La Rona could bring $112,000 ct..  The 341.9 type IIA brought 61,304 ct, so I believe the 30% increase from the Constellation price is reasonable.

I think the sale of Constellation establsihed a value for the jewelers, but what is the value for someone who wants to hold it rough ? What is the risk of finding a larger stone? I also believe that the vault is now getting filled with very exeptional stones as a result of the latest circuit improvements.

My guess is that $300 million annual revenue is now the norm with the very exceptional stones coming regularly.   Exciting times ahead.
