RE:Canadian sterilisation of complex scopes

RE:Canadian sterilisation of complex scopesPart 2 of my answer to your questions.

A) Health Canada is hopeless.  After having written about 18 FOIA, I have not succede in getting any info of significance.

B) The provincial authorities a pretty much as useless.  After having scoured the web sites of BC, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia, the best I have been able to find is a report fron the Institut national de ls sant publique du Qubec which has published a report on the topic in late 2015.  If you want to lose yourself in useless statics, see below (for those who don't read French, you don't miss anything as, as the authors themselves admit, many hospitals don't have any tracking systems, others do not fiil in reports and, ultimately, the cause of deaths of patients are hidden in meaning less words)

https://www.inspq.qc.ca/pdf/publications/2072_surveillance_accidents_retraitement_dispositifs_medicaux.pdf

As a summary of the situation, a link to a piece by a journalist of the CBC who has attempted to summarize the situatin

https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/superbug-outbreaks-at-canadian-hospitals-not-reported-1.2517765

Finally, before I get really fed up,

A) The words of someone who seems to know a little about bacteria (RR during a cc): "Bacteria know borders"

B) The words of another wise man (me):  "If you want to stay in good health, stay away from the hospitals"
