Olympus's problems do persist, obviously. And, not just with the FDA

I am not sure if you and others have noted this link from LATimes that summarizes some aspects of the situation from March, including that Olympus apparently asked an increased price for their scopes to replace those that were taken out of service related to initial contamination issues:

I find it interesting that the US cost quoted in the article for these scopes is less than half of what I was told they are sold for in Canada, even allowing for the exchange rate. My hospital told me the Pentax scopes they just purchased cost approximately $90,000 each.
