RE:WsaksI'm all for this getting taken out, as long as it gets done in the right way, which means a very fair valuation. I am not confident that the reverse RFI is going to yield a buyer.  If they were talking to companies and not just the US government then maybe.  

The US government might give them the avenue to sell their services in the US and help them find a partner to distribute their offering... but I believe government would be more interested in engineering services contracts, I.e. Build them satellites. At least from a defence perspective I can't imagine the US Govt wanting to share satellites...

I think management needs to play this from a point of leverage. They are going to take this as far as they can on the development of optisar and resist takeover until the big boys start drooling and bidding each other up. US government comes in only to raise the revenue and make it more attractive to the big boys.
