RE:Kaminak had a “Robust feasibility study” before a buyout !Here is another article from FP on the sister junior that was just goobled up by the big G for $520M. Note that Kaminak CEO is Eira Thomas, the Queen of Diamonds.

A 5M oz resource and a solid Feasibility Study would certainly help to secure a nod from G which seemed not to stray too far from the PRB model ($526M for some plus 4.3Moz). It's a model for ICG to follow to attract G's (or somebody else's attention. But with a ready-to-go mill and a good location (sitting next to Val d'Or) and the potential to pony up to 4-5Moz say by the end of the year.
The writings are on the wall, ICG is ripe for the picking. The question is who is going to make the first move?
Let's say ELD were to make that first move, without waiting for a Feasibility Study to come out. The question would be: G just sits there and take the abuse? My guess would be that G would not let that happen. It would try to swallow ICG as well (even at a risk of a slight indigestion).
For a major with a $20B Market Cap, even a $1B "strategic investment" would amount to some 5% share dilution (with a gain of a potential resource of plus 4-8Moz. The Deep alone could have a potential between 2-4Moz). This is risk taking for highly paid people is all about. For them anything less than $1B is chump change.
