Corona gold samples
Corona gold samples The most recent drilling results obtained by Corona Gold Corporation were announced in a press re- lease on January 6, 1999 (Canada Newswire). They indicate that the Sugar Zone is a continuous structure with upper and lower horizons approximately 15-25 metres apart. The two horizons, comprising multiple feldspar porphyry sills in mafic volcanic rocks, are 1.5m to 11.87m in width. The silicified, banded hori- zons contain 1-10% pyrrhotite and pyrite with quartz veins usually along the felsic porphyry-basalt con- tacts. The best gold values from four channel-sampled trenches are from the quartz veins and silicified rocks and range from 2.45 g/t over 0.46 m to 25.75 g/t over 1.41 m. Corona Gold Corporation also com- pleted 9 000 metres of drilling in 45 holes on the Sugar Zone property. Weighted average assay results for gold range from 2.29 g/t over 1.53 m to 26.02 g/t over 0.54 m.
