RE:you dont say
RE:you dont sayNow you are getting to the heart of the matter soundandfury. Not that Sino is not a going concern I'm pretty sure it is in spite of the opaqueness of the Chinese system. However, Sino's exposure to the energy industry is significant, and now with a $2billionCDN market cap, they want to swallow a money losing firm with an enterprise value of around $700 millionCDN. Just put yourself in the shoes of an investor looking at Sino's proposal to take out LRE. Does it look like a good deal? Is it going to make you money? Does it weaken the company with all the extra debt exposure? There is only one way you would invest: if you are a complete believer in the imminent recovery of oil and natural gas prices. Otherwise, you would be extremely reluctant, just as banks and investors are reluctant to fund anything in O&G right now.
