New Bombardier Winglets?

New Bombardier Winglets?Sylvain or anyone else in the know, is it true that Bombardier is producing new winglets to improve fuel efficiency?

On Sylvain Faust's blog, about a month ago, he mentioned that new winglets for the C Series are in the works and would improve fuel efficiency by about 5%. I've read some other comments by pilots etc. saying that this isn't possible to improve the efficiency that much if the wing already has a winglet and is optimized for fuel efficiency. But according to this article below, Boeing is adding a new winglet design on their Max jets and they're getting a fuel reduction of close to 7.5%. If this is true and Bombardier can match this improvement, Bombardier could eke out another 5% and improve the fuel economics difference between the NEO and MAX to a 10-15% spread and make this the clear economics winner it was always meant to be.

Boeing's split winglets

If Bombardier really does have a new winglet design coming with this kind of improvement it's huge news! I just can't find anywhere that validates they're doing it.
