All Timmins invited! Billions in the Ground Investment Forum
Co-ordinator for the Billions in the Ground Exploration Investment Forum, Jay Cornelsen, says that everyone in Timmins should come.
The attention of the world is turning to Timmins and northern Ontario for investment and opportunities and northerners shouldn't be left out!
Investors from India, China and South America in particular are looking at our gold and other precious minerals.
Billions in the Ground is designed for investors looking for great mining and exploration investments and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and expansion plans.
We have ten speakers with dynamic power point presentations to show us where our riches in the ground are located and special guest Mary Long-Irwin, Executive Director of Northern Ontario Angels representing 350 private investors looking to finance new innovative projects.
Luncheon keynote speaker is Alan Coutts, president and CEO of Noront Resources who will bring us up to date on the exciting prospects of the Ring of Fire and the great economic and business opportunities for those in place when the project moves forward.
The meeting opens at 10 a.m. Thursday morning with an overview of the underground wealth of Northern Ontario by Marc Leroux, Manager, Trade and Investment Marketing, MNDM followed by: Mark Utting, vice-president, Investor Relations, Tahoe Resources Inc. (formerly Lake Shore Gold); Chris Dupont, Explor; Resources, Pat Chilton, chief executive officer, Five Nations Energy Inc.; Michael MacIsaac, P.Geo, VP exploration, Metals Creek Resources; Dirk Tempelman-Kluit, Ph.D., P.Geo., VP exploration Prosper Gold Corp.; Ingrid Hibbard, president and CEO Pelangio Exploration Inc.; and Danile Spethmann, P.Geo. director, president and CEO, Champagne Resources.
Last year at a presentation at the 'Big Event' former Timmins Mayor Victor Power called the Ring of Fire "Canada's jewellery box" and that it is.
It is already recognized by many suppliers and manufacturers as Canada's next Fort McMurray and even bigger!
As we celebrate 50 years of the Kidd Operations we see that discovery turned the declining economy of Timmins from night to day.
Even the face of Ontario was changed as Toronto became the financial dynamo for exploration investment.
But the thing I like to point out, says Cornelsen, we did have a city here, we had an infrastructure.
We had highways, rail lines, power lines, trained miners.
Currently in the Ring of Fire we have only muskeg.
The opportunities are rich for the taking because all these things now have to be built from scratch!
That means untold wealth never seen before in Canada!
If northerners don't want our gold our chromite many will come and take it for themselves.
Even now a Chinese delegation is negotiating to build a rail line into the heart of the world's largest body of Chromite.
My motto is: "If you believe in the North, invest in the North!”
Why should the world benefit from our riches, the gold we walk on every day and not northerners.
Pensioners, astute housewives, those that work in the mines and particularly our Chamber of Commerce members and businessmen can all benefit greatly with the advance information shared by our speakers.
Tickets to hear all ten speakers and a lunch are only $20, what many would pay $2,000 to hear.
Sessions start at 10 a.m. in theb at the McIntyre Community Centre June 2, the second day of the Expo.
Tickets are limited.
