Positive Net Earnings ! Congrads PYD Team - !I do like consistency - Q-4 revenues were impressive - and now - Q-1 revenues impressive - a tight grouping - almost identical twins - and that shows consistency - strong pattern - two quarters that provided a good window - in which to guage what PYD is raking in -
As for the earn out - I do like the smaller amount - reduction in this columb is a good thing -
As for the foreign exchange ? Perhaps we should look at it this way -
if PYD bought the Integrity gaming business in CDN and convert the capital to purchase to USD and incurred a conversion loss - perhaps we should look at the positive of what PYD earns it's revenues in - USD - and if converted back to CDN - which outcome and sum is more beneficial - and one was a one time cost - and the other a consistent earning each and every quarter over the term of the long term contracts -
As the the equip. depreciation - still scratching my head on that one - maybe I'm misunderstanding it - I feel like calling an accounting firm and asking this question - a conundrum of sorts - well.... At least for me it is....
And if I ever did call - I'd ask -
if depreciation was accounted for - deducted - can it be added back - to the net earning ? - which in my minds eye would add the same sum of depreciation that was deducted and benefit - by increasing the net earning figure?
Maybe - I'm not quite understanding the depreciation - add back ? Or am I correct ?
i sure wish one of you seasoned traders would chime in - I know I've brought this up a few times - but no one ever takes a poke at this - I've provided several articles from accounting websites - to aid in the understanding of - direct and indirect accounting practices applied to depreciation - but no one has put forth the effort and offered their opinion on this..... So would an add back of depreciation increase the net earnings - Anyone ? That's all I want to know - or is it a given to look at the cash flow - which if one did - does the depreciation amount get added back there ?
Anyways.... We went positive - great job PYD team -
