In 6 words - "Yes, it is a big deal"
It is 2016, and Muskowekwan will be the first band to get these "mineral right regulations". You can ask why it has not happened before; I can just say that there was not the desire (or demand). This effort was initiated during Stephen Harpers term, he was behind it (I believe 100%), Trudeau is behind it 100%. It requires "Royal Assent". These regulations do not seem to be some back room bureaucratic requirement. This is big! You can tell by who is involved. You can tell by how many centuries (decades) it has taken our society to get first nations here.
Kudos to Muskowekwan and to Encanto, for whatever they contributed to the effort, for getting this to this stage. Let’s hope that when it is finally official we see the share price increase (even a solid penny would be appreciated).
