Lamaque Deep Resorce Estimate - 4Moz?The 4MozAu for Lamaque Deep has been thrown around by the company (in one of the presentations but I can't find it) and now it was mentioned in the 3 June Macquarie Research report for the potential target of 2.25 (12-mo target of 1.00). The objective here is to have a very rough estimate using some info available including the color picture shown on page 4 and ICG webcast info.
Assume geometry of Lamaque plug below the 1100m level:
- Width: 200m
- Thicknes: 50m
- Length: 1000m (this is the continuation of the mined out plug inclined toward Sigma where there have been drill results for the similar C-zones). This geometry is different from the picture shown in Fig 4 where the Lamaque Deep Plud is shown to turn vertical at depth. Anyway, it does not make too much of a difference in this exercise, beside the simpler math.
- sg: 2.8
- grade: drilled results show 6.9gpt, but for this exercise let's assume 6 gpt for simpler math.
Math:
W x T x L = 200m x 50m x 1000m x 2.8 tonnes/m3 x 6gpt/31g per oz = 5.4 MozAu (please check the math for confirmation or corrections).
So, assumption of 4 Moz for Lamaque Deep seems reasonable?
Now, what about Sigma Deep and the 1000m extension below the deepest level at Sigma/Lamaque, and the surrounding area? Any brave person to venture an estimate?
