The link above has one of the website's translations into English almost everything on the page has been translated but it's worth a look to click on the little animation that has not been translated but it is quite evident what it does. Beautiful little animation of plugging in the sphere overnight having it save all the energy that night and using it all through the next day. This sphere is also for people that don't generate their own energy, for people that don't even have solar panels, or a very small system. This product is designed to save on the cost of electricity in markets where there's a substantial difference in time of day rates sometimes approaching 50% if you read into the comments someone noted that the payback time would be long but was using incorrect numbers for their calculations and someone else corrected them.
Further down the page you can see the Ampere sphere has companions called the Ampere Square and the square plus these are for bigger systems that are to be hooked up to solar panels or any other energy producing device, unlike Tesla's everything is inside that curved edge box if you look at some of the installations of Tesla's product they have their beautiful curved battery pack sitting beside drab functional controllers and inverters, certainly destroys the aesthetic.
Thats something Eguana has done, working with partners to incorporate their tech inside partners products.
Lets hope they win the award!!
