RE:RE:Waiting
RE:RE:Waiting
I hear what you saying. I am in the same boat at wanting to add to my holdings at this rock bottom price, but it's hard to go for it when there is so much uncertainty.
What I will say is that like a casino this is very much a gamble at this point (until we understand the results of the financing). Unlike a casino, we have the information available to make a good estimation of this company in that the numbers aren't overly bad over the last year considering the circumstances and that the decomishionning should carry it forward (for those of us long anyway as Virgal pointed out).
I just wouldn't put stock into the insiders purchasing as a sign of confidence on this one. Contrary to most companies, I believe that shares are already 75 or 80% held by insiders as it is (if memory serves) and I can't see why insiders would continue to soak up shares. As a long, it makes me more interested to see outsiders (hedge funds, large investors, investor groups, etc.) purchasing as it shows me that the professionals see this as smart money. I agree, they haven't done anything to inspire confidence leading up to the end of the month - most companies would be working hard on the NR's and trying to inspire investor confidence - but when it is highly held by insiders, there is less of a reason to from a company perspective. Then again I would rather they were spending resources in making money! All we can go on is that price points are getting better with oil going up, decommissioning is becoming a lucrative and important part of the busienss every quarter and that as we have seen from past moves, this is a competent and knowledgable leadership group who hasn't given me any reason (outside of slow NR and commentary) to doubt them. At this point, common logic tells me to sit tight and see where it goes. The gambler in me says double down and go for the big reward. It will be up to all of us as shareholders to figure which voice to listen to.
