So where is the gaming industry headed ? Will it remain conventional - as in casinos ? Or will it morph and cater to all those new generation kids that - uhmmm - get ready - here it is.... loving their iphones - love gaming - all srts of gaming - and are use to technology?
Have you ever gone to a casino and seen teens or young adults playing - slot machines ? I know when i've stepped inside a casino - slots tend to cater to that 50 and beyond crowd - from a yester year.
So - in my opinion - the gaming sector is on the fringe - of a change over - and inorder to keep the gaming industry robust and alive - it has to change - and change fast.... to keep the interest alive in gaming.
So - the delima ?
How to transform an industry that is retro in gaming - and revamp it to - bring it up to modern times - yes.. indeed a challenge and a fine balancing act ....
Too fast of a change over - and risk of losing present eldrly customers... which are the staple and driving force - of conventional gaming as per casinos.
So - what i see - is a transition - a slow but steady transition - just like everything in life - when it applies to a large industry - it requires a balancing act - as in ... not to rock the boat - and keep a steady course but at the same time - slowly transitioning - allowing the clients to become accustomed and climatized with the changes.
So - is Jackpot Digital a good company - ?
After a lil DD - I would have to say yes.... But, to be fair - i will also say - they've gone through a dry spell - and i have to ask myself - do all companies experience dry spells - down turns ? And the answer is yes...
Having said the above... I will take another side and look at the company from a different angle and ask the simple question - Just what exactly is this Jackpot Digal - making - marketing - and hopefully making it a success?
Well, is all about gaming, i-gaming - and.... e-tables (poker) and they're pretty sweet looking products - that just so happens to be in tune with the modern gaming trend.
https://jackpotdigital.com/
I think after their dry spell - yes many knocked this company for awhile- but if one was to take a closer look and look with a new set of eyes... Just what exactly does Jackpot Digital have - ?
I personally think - they are onto something... But even with good prducts - prducts positioned for a new era of gaming - is great... But, not if the former and current gaming industry is not ready nor have prepped for the transition of techy digital game tables or for that matter - the regulators of the industry -
After all its a huge undertaking - to regulate such an industry - especially if its turning to - digital and online or via cell phone or in cnventional casinos.... All aspects must be considered - thought of - pros and cons- and the outcomes...
So - as per the e-tables? I think they have a place - and most likely can soon be seen in casinos - amongst the convetional gaming tables manned by dealers...
Futuristically speaking.... yes... I can see a casino - many casinos - that could cater to the younger crowds - adding more high tech games - digital and the likes.... will draw the younger gamers - andi can see more games that are not conventional - more skill games - that challenge the younger crwds - similar to the games they play now - for fun - transition into a game of bet and skill - thata where the industry is not connecting the dots - to caster to the younger crowds... they have what.... 3 generations of gamers - millenials etc... that play games - and do you thin kthey want to sit at a slot that spins 7's or cheeries or lemons ? Nooooo !
The industry should have picked up on these 3 generations of skilled gamers - and made their casino games cater to such a crowd.. theyre smarrter and require more skilled games...
Just my opinion... please do think it out on your own...
Why.. .theyre gooing to have to sooner or later... otherwise - they're staple of golden year clients will soon not be as mobile to get around... In my opinion - its happening now.... Making this a great opportunity forcasinos t begin the transitioning of digital games....
Along with younger generation entertainment - concerts - and more .... Will create that draw - attraction - to continue the gaming trend with in casinos....
I think Jackpot Digital has something good.... Its just a question of breaking into a tight knit market - digital gaming intimidates conventional gaming.... But... if casinos were smart... and they are.. i think the transition should at least accomodate a 10-20% change over... to digital gaming....
Getting it out on the floor- getting the consumer use to seeing it ... will eventually allow such games to take root...
For example.... and no im not kidding.... the last casino i walked in with my girl... We strolled around and the slots had all elderly - the card tables had all mid aged 25-40 year olds... and what struck me most and i commented on it - was the new roulette table - digital - had all younger 20 year olds.... interesting.... indeed.
Get the new digital games in .... the younger gamers will come.... In my opinion the younger poker players are so use to new technology - so atuned to it -that transitioning from a conventional card game with dealer - to a digital card game - will make not a ripple in the ocean of the younger generations.... they're so use to new games.. new technology.. so accustomed to accepting change.... again.. accepting change... the older generations are resistent to change... so who should a casino cater to ?
Especially if a casino can make more with digital - less mistakes - wages ... etc....
The challenge - ? Getting gamers to trust the digital games for fairnes.... and that's why i got excited when i heard PYD was wanting to pattent a Bit Boss technology for fair play....
And.... if they ever married this with the - new digital gaming... well..... hello - helllo - hello - lol
Conclusion.....
think inevitable trasitioning to digital games - they have to to keep up with the times - cater to new gnerations- keep the market robust and moving - think convetional gaming market has to begin to cater to younger crowds and what better way than introducing games the younger crowd - games they like - skill orientated games that offer betting - digital card games...
In my own opinion - I think Jackpt digital has something of interest - a great product - and very timely for an industry on the verge of change... Its a question of marketing and convincing the industry to change - and the selling and marketing of such digital technology...
In their latest press release Jackpot and Integrity - the amount of poker e-tables thety beleive they can place - are between 2-30 - which i find interesting - given that Integrity have about the same number pyd bought into - and given the other casinos pyd has business relations with - is about near the same figure of the high end of 30 cainos - i guess in time we'll know if Integrity - pyd- manages to place these new style digital poker etables in such casinos they' havde relations with.... crossed fingers.... add tot this - i wonder if that bitboss technolgy can be programmed int such etable poker card tachnology games? Crossed fingers... and just a hoping....
Of resent - Jackpot digital has just resently landed contracts in - Rivers Casino - and i ask... has this digital e-table texhnology - arrived at an opportune time - will it be the next new transition for the casino market ? Time will tell...
As per the revenues generated by Jackpot Digital - I scanned the Sedar docs- and discovered =
That with the minimal e-tables they do have - the revenues generated are respectful in their own right - March 2016 -
Revenues-Electronic gaming tables-643,786
Licensing - $52,221
Pretty darn good revenues...
Now - if such a small number of machines can produce such revenues- and more importantly - on cruise ships ? Like hello- people on vacation are usually stuffing face with an array of foods- drinking - sporting a look at bikinis - lol - and all the entertainment or day trips at port of calls... Now imagine if these e-tables were in real gaming casinos? i personally think they'll fair much better in revenues - being placed in the atmosphere of casinos.... just my opinion...
