In market downturns gold does well. Diamonds do relatively well. The last two times Major miners (Rio, BHP, Anglo) have invested in the diamond sector been when everything else you can dig out of the gound (except gold) was doing poorly. There was a time not too many years ago when little Diavik and small ekati provided and 1/5 of the profits at these major MAJOR miners. SHOULD the base metals and coal sectors take a hit on a brexit vote (which wont happen cause England wont leave) I might suggest that Majors like Rio, BHP, Anglo might once again look for investment opportunities outside of their current suite of products. I can see this being a good thing for a company like peregrine IN A COMPLETELY MAKE BELIEVE WORLD OF MADE UP SCINERIOS this should be considered.
