ProShares Short SmallCap600 T.SBB

Primary Symbol: SBB

The investment seeks daily investment results that correspond to the inverse (-1x) of the daily performance of the S&P SmallCap 600 Index. The fund invests in financial instruments that ProShare Advisors believes, in combination, should produce daily returns consistent with the funds investment objective. The index is a measure of small-cap company U.S. stock market performance. It is a float-adjusted, market capitalization-weighted index of 600 U.S. operating companies selected through a process that factors in criteria such as liquidity, price, market capitalization, financial viability and public float. The fund is non-diversified.

NIRB

NIRBI don't think it's a matter of "natives" wanting more money. I believe the royalty has already been agreed upon with the Kitikmeot Inuit Association. I think NIRB is just trying to flex their muscles. I think it was clear during the Community Roundtable that concerns for the environment / animals were there, however, community members felt that the benefits of mining outweighed the potential impact. Let's face it, animals are adaptable, I'm sure the caribou would alter their migration / calving ground if the felt they were threatened by the development. I think the minister will side with NIRB which is unfortunate for the Kitikmeot Region and particularly the Cambridge Bay community members. Two projects (Hope Bay & Sabina) would have created many jobs for people in the region. Perhaps the Primier will be able to influence outcome. Here's to hoping.

I no longer hold a position but will maybe reconsider once the dust settles.
