Baytex Energy Corp. is a Canada-based energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development and production of crude oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and in the Eagle Ford in the United States. Its crude oil and natural gas operations are organized into three main operating areas: Light Oil USA (Eagle Ford), Light Oil Canada (Pembina Duvernay / Viking) and Heavy Oil Canada (Peace River / Peavine / Lloydminster). Its Eagle Ford assets are located in the core of the liquids-rich Eagle Ford shale in South Texas. The Eagle Ford shale covers approximately 269,000 gross acres of crude oil operations. Its Viking assets are located in the Dodsland area in southwest Saskatchewan and in the Esther area of southeastern Alberta. It also holds 100% working interest land position in the East Duvernay resource play in central Alberta.

If you lost 5k that means that you bought high and sold low. Stop doing that. If you pick good stocks, their will be a recurrent up and down cycles that will allow you to minimize losses if you do a mistake. If you are a long term holder of stocks, day to day wins and losses don't matter. If you are day trading but are not a professional, tone down the trading and let time help you out. Case and point: Oil was a loser in 2015 up until February. Those that didn't sell their oil stocks (in good oil companies) now own stocks with companies trading oil at 45-50$. Gold has exploded since February 2016. There were plenty of ups and downs in the gold traded companies. Anyone that did a bad bid in gold could simply wait a week or two and gold would retrace back more often than not. In one word: patience.
