According to the SBM news release, these test have been conducted to proof the effectivness of TFC-1067 in treatment of hyperpigmentation and/or melasma. Thats a completely different scope than cosmetic skin lightening. I suppose Sirona is going to meet further needs of application and based on a physician prescription while cosmetic skin lightening will become a consumer/otc-product.
So we see further possibilities for the compound, which is, IMHO another great development.
