Is Oleg SergaySchkoda the unluckiest man on AIM exchange?

Is Oleg SergaySchkoda the unluckiest man on AIM exchange?
EPIC code: NBR

Namibian Resources - is
Oleg-Serguei Schkoda
the unluckiest man on AIM?

By Cynical Bear | Tuesday 3 May 2016

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

I read the emails purportedly relating to Worthington (WRN) and Oleg-Serguei Schkoda with interest recently as I have a soft spot for the guy. I have no idea whether they’re genuine or not but following on from my piece back in January HERE, I’m now beginning to wonder whether Oleg is cursed.

The emails can be seen HERE and they claim to be from Alex McDonald, CEO of Namibian Resources (NBR) (to be renamed Anglo African Oil & Gas post-acquisition), and state that Oleg was only ever a consultant to Worthington , never an officer of any type, and is still owed money from Worthington – funny that!

Worth a read but no great surprise to anyone up-to-speed with the never-ending saga at Worthington as it merely reiterates what many people already thought, namely that most of Worthington’s RNS’s were full of nonsense around the time of suspension back in October 2014.

In any event, as I mentioned in my earlier article, I was pleased that Oleg Schkoda, as he now seems to call himself, had bagged himself a new gig at Namibian Resources (NBR) in December 2015.

It seems that he is Chief Operations Officer-elect and will take the reins properly once Namibian’s deal to acquire Petro Kouilou is completed. In the meantime, the company has been suspended since December 2015 pending the acquisition. I noted at the time, however, that there was a long-stop date for the acquisition of 15 March 2016 so at least Oleg wouldn’t be kept hanging on indefinitely.

Well……unfortunately that hasn’t proved to be the case.

On 30 March 2016, Namibian Resources updated the market that it was still working on the acquisition and that this will continue indefinitely until either the deal happens or either party terminates the arrangement giving 14 days’ notice.

Five weeks later and no further news; I guess it’s not as easy to get the funding sorted for the deal as first anticipated which is slightly surprising as, back in December, Namibian stated that it had received indications of interest for the majority of funding required.

Will Oleg ever get a break or is it his fault in some way? As Oscar Wilde never said “to work for one company permanently in suspension may be regarded as misfortune, but to work for two looks like carelessness.”

Anyway, to be clear, I don’t think Namibian Resources is another Worthington and am pretty sure that this suspension won’t go on for as long as Worthington’s (as Worthington’s is unlikely to ever end, that’s quite an easy claim to make but you get my point.)

I hope it comes good for Oleg soon; if this goes on much longer, I may have to start a Save Oleg Schkoda (SOS) campaign as the guy must have bills to pay!
(MAYBE THIS IS WHY HE BASHING HIS OLD EMPLOYER AT SIMBA?)
