FTC Files Complaint on CUS/SPB Merger

FTC Files Complaint on CUS/SPB Merger
This is really strange. There are only 3 companies that produce Sodium Chlorate and one is barely functioning and could very well go belly up. This leaves two companies that would be interested in their assets but aren't allowed to buy them because FTC would block either the sale. Who will want CUS's assets then? There is so much debt and Canexus is have trouble floating at this time. A third companies could make it work if it offered pennies on the dollar. This would make the holders of CUS debts even more nervous due their assets having limited companies to purchase them. If I was a company I would bid really low knowing Superior or Chemtrade (guessing chemtrade is the second company) couldn't bid on them. I mean Pulp and Paper is not a growing industry with a world paperless mentality. Still there is a need for it and it will grow slowly with the population. So at a base it will be flat but very slow continuous grow. Not an industry most business want to get into. Again strange situation.
