RE:RE:Just an observationJust to weigh in on this discussion. My thoughts are on the lines that 1....this is in Africa where
many consider it risky, 2........desperately in need of financing whithout which it goes nowhere,
3.......still need to build the infrastructure and get it operating. Still far away from production
so the time lag means lack of interest to the investing public and last but not least is the issue
of a wealthy majority owner in Singer, who lacks any urgency to get moving. All this together
means a languishing S/P.
My thoughts are several. 1......this is Africa where many investors are reluctant to buy because
of supposed risks. 2......desperately in need of financing without which nothing happens. 3.....
A serious time lag between financing and mill construction and utimate production leaving
potential investors going elsewhere and lastly 4..... a very wealthy majority owner in Singer
who has who knows what agenda and at least has shown no sense of urgency in moving
forward. These negative factors are all contributing to a weak S/P in a strong gold market.
however what looks like weakness also spells opportunity. Once the financing happens, all
the negatives can suddenly become positives and its game on. My approach has been to
look at this as a spec play where you invest in something for .30 that should be trading at .60
or higher. With all spec plays there is some risk but with AVK, I like the odds.
