Epicore offers LT value and potential for ST gains
EBN has been sleepy since it spiked in value on the Q3 FS. Trading volumes remain light, but a regular tug of war over SP continues. In the absence of active sellers, bidders low-ball bidders offer too little, and now and then someone is foolish enough to oblige them.
The premarket bid-ask at 9:00 today was matched at .56, but actually traded at .61 at the open...
An hour later, a significant buy-in from RBC has spiked the SP up to .69... just shy the 3-Jun HI of .71.
I am the only poster here, so why talk to myself? Well anyone else interested in EBN checking my posting history will be impressed. And I have sold my last shares for liquidity--not because I don't like the company, but because I am confident I will be able to buy back in as low as .55-.60 right through the summer. So I don't benefit by calling this a BUY or HOLD depending on your intentions. Target the reasonable low, and sooner or later EBN will offer it... hold if you are a value investor, or set an ask near the recent high, and sooner or later and sooner or later RBC or another higher-volume value investor will buy your shares yielding you a 10-20% gain.
I am not a professional. Do your own DD. Just describing what I have done to yield a net 80% gain since Christmas.
Note: This does NOT work if you sell into the next dip, which can be sharp as we saw in Q2. You have to know the value, and do as I did... buy more!
Have a good one.
Here is the trading record spiking the SP today:
0.69 2,000 TSXV 10:33:55 002 085
0.68 1,000 TSXV 10:33:55 002 007
0.68 500 TSXV 10:33:55 002 007
0.68 1,500 TSXV 10:33:55 002 007
0.66 500 TSXV 10:33:55 002 002
0.65 500 TSXV 10:33:55 002 028
Odds are it will drop again to .65-.61, but trading is so light you can't say when that will happen.
