Can someone simplify this for me please?

Can someone simplify this for me please?I own 500 shares of BAM.A, and it appears that I now also own 10 shares of BBU.UN in my TD account, worth roughly $244. I'm gathering this is a one time thing, kind of like a special dividend?  Can I just sell those 10 shares immedietely if chose to?
