I don't understand people who are supposed to be analysts/portfolio managers base their investment opinions on their own preferences. You may or may not like the D-Box experience, but basing your investment decision on your personal taste is totally wrong. I don't like Hyunday cars, does that mean I should short Hyunday? No, because obviously a lot of other people like it. How do I know? Beacause I see them in the street.
How do we know D-Box works? Because we keep selling the seats,getting repeat orders, having our seats installed in multiple screens within the same complex. There is no room for being skeptical of the technology, it is proven to work and bring in revenue for the studios and exhibitors. What is he skeptical about?
The fact that he describes D-Box as chairs that shake shows he has no clue what the seats do. At least the Lester Asset guy actually knew the company and its market.
