RE:surprising amount of strength lately...The average price of zinc for Q2 has little to do with their earnings for the quarter. All unsettled shipments from Q2 and an remaining unsettled shipments from Q1 get marked to market as of June 30th, their quarter end. Therefore, at month end, the zinc price was 95.17c/lb. For December 31st 2015, it was 70c and for March 31st it was 82c. Therefore, selling prices for Q2 are almost 16% higher than the previous quarter, which was already 17% higher than the Dec 2015 quarter. TV will have a stellar Q2.
That along with the announcement that Caribou has started commercial production (probably this week) should propel this stock in the 90 cent - $1.00 range over the next two months, and maybe higher if the USD gets weaker.
Selling now at 60c is a bit silly when you're days away from the commercial production announcment?
