RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:This is why phase 1 is important:LaserStock29 expects the phase 1b patients to be those with 1 to 2 mm size tumors to in effect give the treatment the best chance to show what it can do in terms of efficacy but will that be the case? Both Roger White and Michael Borovec indicated the enrollment candidates will be comprised of patients who have exhausted all traditional treatments and for which removal of the bladder is a very real possibility. That doesn't sound to me like they will be treating 1 to 2 MM size tumors. Let's not forget that it is a highly experimental treatment without any assurances that there will be no severe side effects. Would Health Canada agree to subject cancer victims with only 1 or 2 MM tumors to experimental treatments? Hate to sound callous but the goal of the trial is to test for safety and tolerance and for that they will use people that have nothing to lose if things go wrong.
