I love your idea of "Blackdroid", however knowing Blackberry's dismal history of marketing failures I don't think they will listen to us.  We will probably see a Lav (vs Priv) or X10 vs Z10 version that won't hit home.  I agree with the idea that a new marketing strategy should move towards a hybrid name from branding (e.g. Blackdroid, etc) to bypass the stigma associated with peoples historical image of 'Blackberry' branded phone.

Combined with a colorful advertising campaign and the upcoming school year, they could really make a success of this.  I won't get my hopes up yet, but cautiously wait in the background as another Blackberry long laying in the weeds watching.\
