Thoughts on the delaySo my thinking is that the delay has been caused not so much by looking for better and better ways to sterilize the equipment but in modifications to the design of the equipment such that sterilization is that much easier and less troublesome. That might mean more (or fewer...) pieces utilized in the design of the scope, elimination of troublesome junctions or interfaces betweeen components, new materials or whatever. It would have been nice to have had some indication as to what the company was indeed persuing during this time interval but it stretches credibility to think that this entire 6 weeks has been spent finding better ways to boil the stuff so that it is 100% pure and clean. So, I'm suggesting that design changes may be the cause for the delay plus additional testing to insure the new design passes the sterilization safety test. Otherwise they should just have gone with the old stuff on a disposable, one-time use basis as I proposed several weeks ago and worked on design modifications while initial human trials were ongoing.
