RE:getgoIt is an interesting development (like the valuations mentioned) with some negatives and some positives but it does not impact the upcoming Lioi rulings or the CAFC appeal. The market reaction should be negative as the ongoing lawsuit appears to be a non-factor in the opinion of both parties.
The negative might be the insistence that the new company uses the LMI remote access technology and forward damages will be nil, meaning Citrix brings only their customer base as the other offerings are not part of the lawsuit.
The positives are harder to define. They think they are bullet proof and there is some arrogance in that. I recall the post during the LMI trial that CEO Michael Simon was sitting in the witness chair having a friendly little chat with Judge Hilton like he was not at all worried. Relaxed and stress free like he knew the fix was in. Mr Simon looks like the key motivator in this merger being the ex CEO of LMI and now the COB of the old LMI and now new GetGo, but this ain`t Virginia and this ain`t Hilton so maybe we can get a fair shake.
Watching the ten hour OJ documentary a couple of months ago and this was said late in the series; ``It`s up to the defence to push the envelope but it`s up to the judge to reign them in`.
I see TeamViewer got hacked a couple of months ago. They blamed weak passwords rather than weak technology. They will either have to re-brand or go broke. Citrix also got hacked in what they called a sophisticated attack. They only had to re-set all the passwords with no damage or lawsuits - at least that is what they are saying. Superior tech I assume.
