If the whole Concordia model was fraudulent or faulty, it would eventually come out after a few years of failing results. Why are shorts allowed to borrow shares of proper investors in order to use against them to damage the SP to such a large degree of 85% or so of available shares?
It seems that if shorts must be allowed it should be limited to a certain percentage of shares available - maybe 20%, and likewise limitations of an individual investor's position. The OSC, IIROC and SEC should make rules that cut back the amount to which a company can be shorted by a single investor and in total, imo. Obviously, some shorts could not possibly cover if there was a takeover and a much higher sp if suddenly announced in a given situation.
