what you speak of in your post could take them months of testing and adjusting to complete.

What is being done by PYR and HPQ has never been done before in a single step process.
The flexibility to adjust to new learnings in science or anything else is a valuable quality that HPQ management has displayed very successfuly as long as I have been around, and obviously a requirement for success in many areas.
If they stuck to what they thought in the first place, we would not be at 5 tmes the value we were a short time ago,
I think we have to take the bad with the good.
