Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:Colombia’s New, Legal Drug Barons Focus on Medical Marijuana

RE:RE:Colombia’s New, Legal Drug Barons Focus on Medical MarijuanaThe colombian government is not as corrupt as it was 10 years ago. The FARC is almost non-exsitent now and the country now attracts a lot of foreign investments. I don't think there will be a price war soon... like you said, the quality of product and control of production is tightly regulated by HC and this is a major goal in the legalization of cannabis, and even more important for the medical side of the market.

Longer term, I think it is only logical that cannabis will be grown near the equator, that's why I like CGC moves to expand in southern countries (Australia and Brazil). For Aphria, I have faith in Vic and am not worried that this is part of the strategy to prosper in this industry.

But it is still important to keep an eye on that variable of globalization of the cannabis industry!
