Good report Benchmark crude oil prices pared losses on Wednesday after data showed U.S. crude stockpiles fell for the first time in four weeks.
U.S. commercial crude inventories fell by 2.5 million barrels in the week through Aug. 12 to a total of 521.1 million barrels, the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported. Oil prices defied analysts' expectations for a draw in each of the prior three weekly reports.
Total motor gasoline stocks fell by 2.7 million barrels, marking a third straight week of draw downs in excess of 2 million barrels. Distillate fuel inventories, meanwhile, rose 1.9 million barrels
