Earth Alive signs three-year distribution deal for EA1 EARTH ALIVE SIGNS EXCLUSIVE MULTI-YEAR DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH BRENNTAG CANADA FOR ITS EA1 MICROBIAL TECHNOLOGY AND COMMENCES FIRST FULL SCALE TEST WITH TATA STEEL MINERALS CANADA
Earth Alive Clean Technologies Inc. has signed an exclusive three-year agreement with Brenntag Canada, a subsidiary of Brenntag, a globally leading distribution company serving various industries, for the production and sales of its global patent-pending EA1 dust-suppressant product. EA1 is a 100-per-cent organic and biodegradable product that uses the latest advances in microbial technology to control soil-born dust emanations.
Earth Alive's EA1 is now immediately available in Canada directly through Brenntag's regional distribution network, and the first full-scale test of the product has already been ordered by Tata Steel Minerals Canada Ltd. for its Schefferville mine site in Quebec-Labrador. Tata Steel Minerals Canada approach has always been to be a pioneer in adopting environmentally sustainable mining practices toward its commitment of preserving the environment. TMSC continues to concentrate on environmental responsibility by controlling dust emissions in an environmentally sustainable way and reducing the use chemicals and water to control dust.
David Gilmour, chief executive officer of Earth Alive, stated: "Brenntag Canada is the premier supplier of quality products and services to a wide range of mining clients from coast to coast, and, as Earth Alive is a Canadian business, having this agreement in our own backyard is particularly gratifying. We are already witnessing the benefits of partnering with Brenntag Canada given TSMC's first full-scale test order of our EA1 product." Mr. Gilmour further added: "Coupled with our previously announced distribution agreement with Brenntag in Latin America, with this latest agreement, EA1 is now available through Brenntag's distribution network on two continents. Strengthening our partnership with Brenntag and leveraging their distribution network is a key step towards our goal of profitability in 2016."
Martin Jette, regional director of Eastern Canada at Brenntag Canada, said: "EA1 is the most environmentally friendly, cutting-edge dust-control technology available. Brenntag remains dedicated to introducing green technologies to its clients, and we firmly believe that EA1 can become the leading dust-control technology in Canada." Mr. Jette further added, "As a matter of fact, Brenntag Canada is ramping up EA1 product distribution by scheduling full presentation meetings in all Canadian provinces in the third and fourth quarter of this year."
Marcelo Soutullo, vice-president of global operations for dust solutions, commented: "Brenntag possesses sales office and production facilities in all major markets across Canada, making it the distribution partner of choice for EA1 in Canada. They are already a registered supplier to many of the biggest mining operations in the country, thus greatly simplifying and accelerating the sales process for Earth Alive."
