RE:RE:RE:RE:confidence!

RE:RE:RE:RE:confidence!at Csin47 et al. AVO will need to continue to produce high end cameras, software and analytics to stand out. from a "security" point of view, you do not want Chinese product being installed on any important network. Sadly, most departments are to stupid to insist on non Chinese product but hopefully that will change as hacks etc become more obvious. they need to keep costs down as much as possible so they can compete with axis, pelco, Panasonic.. on federal tenders. they MUST capture large 600 plus camera installations so they can showcase those projects with large corporations and federal departments. a university campus is nice, but it isn't the big leagues. the HiK... of the world will keep them out of small to mediul sized corporations because they do not typically want to spend the money on expensive high end cameras or the associated software and servers needed to run them. I stated years ago that many a high profile office tower runs on one or maybe 2 simple 16 camera systems and HIK cameras do the job. cameras are typically used for post incident review. So, so long as you have a good Chinese camera and it is not trying to capture to wide an area, they will be fine if you want serious surveillance, the you MUST go with AVO, pelco etc. The analytics is going to be important to high end users. as people seem to get dumber and dumber, analytics will be needed to wake guards up to the fact they have people loitering... around a perimeter or in a underground parking lot. facial recognition for airports... need to be coupled with quality cameras and AVO is perfect for that. they have competition from the Milestones... of the world so need to aggressively penetrate the "total security management space" their card access is not up to multi national or large fed installs so that is a negative against them. (thus why they may be bought out by a reputable card access company like Honeywell, G4S etc. ) so like I said, they need to land large installs otherwise I can't see them succeeding on their own/ they will be bought out for technology. technology for entrenched competition that is already on these very large sites.
