India to showcase Edgewater Wireless products Rare Tech Projects Pvt. Ltd. will be establishing a high-density Demonstration Centre in India to showcase Edgewater Wireless EAP access point products.
The multi-million dollar Demonstration Centre will allow prospective commercial customers and regional partners to trial and demonstrate WiFi3(TM) technology in real-time. The terms of the deal include the sale of access points and support services to Rare Tech Projects Pvt. Ltd. The Edgewater Wireless engineering team will work closely with Rare Tech over the coming months to support the construction of the Demonstration Centre.
After extensive testing and evaluating Edgewater Wireless WiFi3 technology we believe it's the right technology to address the high demand for WiFi from our customers," said Sandeep Chadha, Managing Director of Rare Tech Projects Pvt. Ltd. "WiFi3(TM) technology delivers a new standard for connecting more devices and delivering better performance and service for users. We have an immense, multi-million dollar market here in India, and WiFi3(TM) is the right solution to address the growing issues of connectivity and congestion."
There are over 960,000,000 mobile devices in India - second only to China for the most mobile devices in the world. The density of devices has created exponential demand for data and connectivity. Due to the lack of in-the-ground infrastructure, most of India relies on mobile connectivity to access the web. The Indian Government recently announced the roll out of free high-speed WiFi in 2500 cities and towns across India (https://bit.ly/1IZOZVh). Edgewater's multi-channel WiFi3(TM) AP architecture provides the highest possible WiFi system performance in high-density environments such as stadiums, public transit stations and shopping centers and is a natural fit to address the second highest density mobile market in the world.
"Edgewater Wireless has a strong focus on India as it is one of the fastest growing markets for Wi-Fi in the world and we're very excited to partner with Sandeep and Rare Tech Projects PVT Ltd. to expand our market with this initial project in India," said Andrew Skafel, CEO of Edgewater Wireless. "Rare Tech has taken the right approach to testing and evaluating multiple WiFi technologies for their high-density applications and WiFi3 came out on top. This is another great validation of our technology for high-density environments."
