RE:RE:Trying to clarify and comment on ...Let me address the website question first.
www.redmere.com would have to be of value to anyone in a similar business. You key it in because you are looking for cable and voila! Up comes a whole range of competing stuff you might be able to use instead. Plus, there's the potential for mischief, which I have seen happen before.
Today's marketing-savvy firms know better than to leave that kind of thing to chance. You said it yourself, "It would be misleading to use it by a cable manufacturer," and I can imagine there would be several cable manufacturers (especially in China) who would be only to happy to own it if they knew.
Regarding patents on electronic equipment, they are generally speaking not hard to circumvent, just through a few significant changes. Otherwise, we would have only one or two companies making diodes and ICs. For anyone to think they have a lock-solid hold on anything is dubious at best. In any case, you and I know we can build different circuits to do the same thing.
To go back to your earlier post abouit S7 not making anything, I know that, but for the purpose of my point it's pure semantics. I could have put "contracted out" instead but it's all the same when related to the point I was making, and I really didn't need the sarcastic, "That is a clue" bit -- unworthy of you, PC. And again, the second word on S7's website is "make."
Look, give me a break here -- these people are just not communicating - Nada, Nyet - except for the financial bits that they are obliged to release. If anything, while they are rudderless, they should up the output of news releases, not be hiding.
