The Global Gaming Awards 2016 shortlist "NYX is another industry-leader that’s been shortlisted for a variety of awards. They’re nominated in three categories, Digital Supplier of the Year, Digital Gaming Innovation and their CEO Matt Davey is up for North American Executive of the Year too.
Davey has been the man behind much of NYX’s growth in 2016, and has taken the business from a $7 million company to become a truly global player. He led their acquisition of Cryptologic last year, the Game360 acquisition and this year he has spearheaded their purchase of the brand OpenBet. This leaves NYX with a huge market share of content and distribution and it’s safe to say Davey has worked hard for his nomination.
In other areas, NYX have clearly been working hard too. As mentioned earlier, they’re running against NetEnt for the highly-competitive Digital Industry Supplier of the Year award. The brand supply over 700 games to over 200 operators globally, but alongside praising their comprehensive platform and breadth of clients, the award panel have also commended the company on their industry leading customer support service, heralding it ‘an example to follow in the industry.’
Witch Pickings SlotNYX’s final nomination is for Digital Gaming Innovation and they’re shortlisted specifically for their game Witch Pickings. The slot is one of the most popular this year, and boasts a range of unique features. It features the novel concept of offering the player a choice of what game rules apply to bonus rounds. The increased decision making for players is set to be a huge trend, as more players look towards skill games and the ability to control an outcome more than a regular slot can offer. The award panel have noted that this innovation could be a glimpse into the future and shows a willingness by NYX to think outside of the box."
