Simple answer, to make money. 

Since this is the HVU board, I will keep my posts on here about HVU. I have stated my reasons for going short gold/silver on several of those boards. You can read it there. But I will leave you with this, gold stocks ran too far and the weekly charts for gold stocks look negative.
