RE:'Second-life' EV batteries Excellent and timely link. This is precisely what I think EGT and the German automaker are working on. This seems to be the connection between what car makers are left with (used batteries) and what EGT is capable of engineering (hopefully using a repurposed cell that is central for a self consumption pv ev installation). Bmwi already has been working on this with greenlots and geli (pretty sure I have that right). So when eguana says they are looking to co create an exciting new industry standard with the automaker - I think they are referring to this application. My guess is that they are working with bmwi on some new and improved version (I recently posted the article that talked about the LAPD buying bmwi cars) OR it is indeed Mercedes. The timing fits as does the need and the players. I believe that if they do have the tech working that this rolls out in the near future - not 2 years from now. Curios what others are thinking?
