RE:K2 Principal Fund

RE:K2 Principal Fund
Re: K2 "K2 & Associates is a hedge fund with an 18 year track record of successfully managing money and creating value for our shareholders and stakeholders at large. Our returns rank in the top decile of all funds during this period.... ... We are ACTIVISTS who work to surface value, and we have competitive advantage in many areas that create alpha." -------------------------------------------------- I doubt that PLI is expending it's cash to acquire shares in the open market at .135 - .1375. Their whole idea is to acquire the company for a song and for paper (shares). Cash acquired - no brainer. Tax Losses - as good as cash - a no brainer . Plant and MCNA - icing on the cake. "free" assets " for nothing--------------------------------------- Clearly the smart money is buying from weak (disgruntled) hands. Probably in anticipation of better offer coming...or FORCING a higher offer themselves, when it gets closer to voting time. Shareholders have to decide if they have the patience to side with the smart money. Companies like K2 know most investors don't have the patience and would rather move on or gripe on SH. I say - if you can't lick'em, join 'em. MM
