RE:RE:PotashCorp Confirms Discussions with Agrium

RE:RE:PotashCorp Confirms Discussions with Agrium This feels like the calm before the storm! It's been a really rough few years and anyone in the potash space that thinks their project/company should be immune to it, has their head in the sand. Everyone has been desperate for something to happen to spark a shift in sentiment toward potash companies. Juniors especially, need macroeconomic factors to be in their favor when exploring financing solutions and offtake agreements. Most agree that long-term demand looks strong for potash, but how much longer could all of these large producers sustain suppressed prices and artifically low short-term demand!? This merger, if it happens, would be a game changer for our industry. I think this would also motivate the Russians and Belarusians to get back together faster which would create a steep increase in potash prices globally. That environment alone would instantly make Encanto much more valuable; including better feasability study economics, access to capital, and need for India to lock up resources at competitive pricing. Fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!
