Met coal is not the same as thermal coal. Forecasting met coal is not the same as nobody really wants to burn thermal coal anymore due to emmissions and substitutes are available-enrgy from other sources-(natural Gas, etc) Met coal is different and has no substitute. If you run a blast furnace- you need met coal. If you make iron-on its way to steel- determines the met coal market.
If falcon's pricing information is correct I would think that Teck will be in for a good quarter in the coal department as quite a bit of supply has been shut down and there has been some supply disruptions in Australia.
