RE:RE:Primer for shorting for retail tradersOMG, I bet that 99% of retail investors have no idea what you are talking about here.
So tell me what retail platform you use and how do you buy the debs? Let's put those first three words to the test here... ;-) Because you really don't sound retail ... Not that I'm really interested because all it takes is a few street rating downgrades or large funds to sell to trash the debs.
As for the spring, that's what I normally would play but it sucked at the high 20s and looks like the same pattern here.
If you look at the charts, you'll see that oversold isn't being corrected and that's bad news. On the short term outlook, that "spring" is buried in nice Cayman Island sand and there's a dozen legal pirate ships circling the island. And that mermaid at the front of one of them is very much alive. She at the front of the formidable bridage and she is HOT!
They have a landing date with the courts and man, I'd be shaking in my boots if I was associated with management. Not sure there is anything they can say that anyone would take with any credibility considering the overhang and all the unanswered questions that recently surfaced!
The storm is just starting here and there isn't a single bit of blue sky on the horizon. Even contrarian traders aren't touching this one and fundamental guys better not get hooked on one thing neglecting the rest.
The technical indicators would be calling contrarians here they are so negative but anyone just looking at contrarian TA will get wacked IMHO. Classic TA guys would never catch a falling knife, especially when it's more like a falling garbage can in flames!

There aren't many intelligent scenarios when retail should get involved with shorting, but going long on a convertible debenture and shorting the stock to pick up the interest with zero capital outlay is a good feeling.
Good luck to you pro-trader. Lots of recoil in the spring that is concordia
