What do you'all think ?"
The most important thing to know in investing in a mining company is its management. Robert Friedland is Ivanhoe's executive chairman and its founder. He is considered by many to be the most successful mining entrepreneur in the world. He is the person that discovered Voisey's Bay nickel deposit.
Ivanhoe's Kipushi's deposit has zinc grades of 30% to +40%. Mind boggling. Its platinum Platreef deposit is miles long and has thick layers of high grade platinum, paladium, rhodium etc. and the entire length of the deposit is near the surface. All the other known platinum deposits in the country are only a meter thick (3 feet thick) and they dip steeply downward. Ivanhoe has the largest platinum deposit in the world. And of course, it also has the largest copper deposit in the world, which also happens to be high grade and so also the most economical copper deposit to mine in the world, plus also the deposit that is drawing all the interest of the Big mining companies in the world. I would think that our zinc and platinum properties will also end up in a bidding war, which could bring up our stock price to well over $10 a share, and that our price will continue to shoot upward. But even if they don't end up in a bidding war, we can use the money we receive for our copper property to develop our platinum and zinc properties.
So I would say that now is the time to put money into Ivanhoe. But remember that I am not a financial expert. You need to do your own research and decide how much money you want to invest. I put a large chunk of my money into the stock the previous day, and I already have an excellent profit. But just a tiny tiny fraction of what I will make. Like someone else said, I would hate to think of what I would be feeling if I had not put my money into the stock, and then see it move up and up, away from me. Your decision. Let us know what you do, if that is OK with you.
